Christos Stampoulopoulos, First Councellor for Economic and Commercial A airs at the Embassy of Greece in the UAE, succeeded Mr Emanuel Vrettakis as the new head of the Hellenic Trade Center in Dubai, on August 2016

Born in Athens 1963, had a 10years carrier in the private sector before joining the Ministry of Foreign A airs. Has served Greece as an economic diplomat in Yerevan Armenia, Cairo Egypt and Casablanca Morocco. 

UAE market is very challenging for Greece, beyond what is has been accomplished so far. Tour- ism, food industry, environmental engineering, shipping and services, construction engineering and materials, high tecknology innovation and communications pave the way for fostering both entrepreneurship and investments between our the two countries. 

Networking between the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy and the Greek expats in the UAE is a key element for promoting new success stories. 

More than 150 enterprises participate yearly under the National pavilion at the major internation- al exhibitions organized in the UAE. Strong Greek presence is indicative of the export potential of our country. Follow to the BIG 5, Gulfood, the Arabian Travel Market is to take place on April 24.

He is looking forward to the upcoming bi- lateral activities such as the 4rth session of the Joint Greek –Emirati Interministerial Cooperation Committee and Business forum to be held in Athens on the 4rth and 5th of May, the Middle East partenariat on food and construction materials that will be hosted by Enterprise Greece later on the same month. 

Networking between the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy and the Greek expats in the UAE is a key element for promoting new success stories. They form a very recent but most active community with an important additional value for both Greece and the UAE.
